
UIACPH 2023 study tours
Architects Sweden is offering three different study tours during the UIA World Congress of Architects 2023.
4th of July:
KID CITY Study trip; Children, playing and democracy
Study tour focusing on children, playing and democracy. The tour consist of two site visit and ends up at Form/Design Center in Malmö in time for the side event: KID CITY – Child Friendly Planning & Architecture. Here the exhibition PLAY FOR DEMOCRACYis featured.

6th of July:
Malmö today; reinterpreted industrial history and modern urban development
The tour features two former industrial districts in Malmö, characterized by extensive regeneration and urban development. Both districts have a long and significant industrial history, with preserved buildings and structures, as well as new emerging cityscapes. The tour ends at Form/Design Center in Malmö where the exhibition PLAY FOR DEMOCRACY is featured.

7th of July:
Lewerentz and The three in Lund; Buildings for everybody – learning from the past
The tour features a range of public buildings of high quality, built 1916–1976. Predominantly from the post-war era, they represent a Nordic architecture thought to be socially responsible, contextually responsive, and spatially, as well as tectonically, expressive.
It includes several works by Sigurd Lewerentz, one of the most prominent Swedish architects of the 20th century. Furthermore it showcases works by the three modernist architects who are considered to be Lewerentz’s successors; Bernt Nyberg, Bengt Edman and Klas Anshelm.
The tour ends at Skissernas Museum in Lund where the Lewerentz exhibition Architecture Sculpture is shown.
