Results on Swedish sites.
After two intense jury sessions in Stockholm and a debate forum in Graz the jury have awarded 12 of the 142 submitted projects. For each site a winner, a runner up and a honorable mention has been selected.

The official price ceremony will be taking place in Lerum on Friday the 5th of February. On this occasion the winners will give a short lecture presenting their work. A full jury report, as well as the schedule for the price ceremony will be published shortly.
The site was the old goods area at the Kisa railway station, where there is now a small waiting room and a bus stop. The task was to create a travel centre and an ”,activity house”, and generally to organize the site into a whole. One important part of the development is that it is feasible to develop the project in different stages, each stage as an entity.

The site was by the lake Aspen, and contains an old water purification plant. The task was to plan a continuous recreational sequence, as well as a residential area. The scale of the site and the current redevelopment process are basic factors. It is therefore important that the winning scheme has a strategic framework, making it possible to be developed in functional stages. The scheme must have the potential to include different actors, public as well as private investors.

The site is a school area between the lake Siljan and the river Österdalälven, and is used as a finishing area for the large ski race Vasaloppet. The task was to design a small-scale residential area, where the spaces of Vasaloppet may be used as a park during the rest of the year. Instead of providing all answers, the awarded projects provides innovative strategies that can be developed in dialogue with all involved actors and create something unique.

As a part of the water walkway the site of a former bath from the 19th century, which consisted of a park, a warm and cold bathhouse, and a clubhouse. The task was to recreate the public function of the place, and add a new hotel with spa.With these elements and its historical context, the site will be a vital node in the future planning of the town. The jury has also found it important to consider the site as part of the public path along the coastline.
