The jury’s assessment:

A confidently realised design, functionally cogent and creating a strong link with Kulturmagasinet in a way which is both skilful and effective. This project is one of the few schemes demonstrating the possibility of creating an entrance on the eastern side, facing the sea.

However, the project creates a back end on the western side, causing problems in the encounter with the development site in that direction. The encounter between the new building and the warehouse buildings presents a narrow cul-de-sac.
