The site brief asks for a centre of Nacka, a polycentric and fragmented municipality. The site houses the town hall, and has two attractors in the form of a shopping mall and a school. Other than that, the large site is mostly devoid of built structure and offers few connections. This creates a complicated task for a young architect.

The municipality of Upplands Väsby wants with its station area to benefit from the regional communication possibilities. The station area is a complex site with no identity to refer to. It needs a densification to function as such and within the small city.
