Here, the Asplund building is complemented in a commendable and modest fashion with several small volumes where the new library component is located like a diminutive village of smaller buildings on a single podium. Through this, it is easy for visitors to find their way to the various separate components. These have been given a stimulating external architectural form. The proposal can be seen as a reinterpretation of the existing principle with the annexes, but with adapted functions.
