The major quality of this proposals lies in its extremely clear holistic concept with the new library literally “embedded” between the Asplund building and the retained third annexe facing Gyldéngatan. This is the only proposal that convincingly illustrates a solution which, because it docks with the Asplund building, motivates removal of a fourth wing. The proposal represents the ideal image of a functional library with clear functional zones and a clear entrance, which is inviting to the general public, towards Odengatan.
