A classic high-rise proposal with a sloping, low podium that plays on the same geometric clarity of construction as the Asplund building. The strict masonry and classic window axes of the facade emphasise the affinities with the constructive simplicity of the Asplund building. The low podium relates to Asplund’s original proposal for market-hall buildings along Odengatan. The library functions are commendably distributed in a general, functional building and entrance zone in the podium component.
